Yeh Derya raat bher charhata raha hai

Sunna hai Raat bher barsa hai Badal

Magar wo Sheher jo piyassa raha hai..

Ptta challa k Zammana-shannas wo bhi tha

Mere Zawwal say pehlay hi mujh ko chor gaya

ghazzab ka Sittara-shannas wo bhi tha.....

Socha tha k paa lunga use ek na ek din
Pehli si mohabat pe aitbar bohat tha
Manzil kese naseeb ho tere diyar ki
Rasta jo tere ghar ka purisraar bohat tha
Us ne kuch is andaz men izhar kiya tha
Iqrar kam, iqrar men aitbar bht tha
