The Chief Minister’s Speech, Debate and Essay competition, comprising students of the postgraduate division level was held at the College of Home Economics (CHE), Gulberg, on Monday. CHE Principal Dr Samia Kalsum, Deputy Director Education Zafar Inayat and a large number of students were also present on the occasion.
Students from various higher educational institutions participated in the competition and delivered speeches on topics including ‘Disagreement is Freedom’s Privilege’, and ‘Insani Tabahi ka Bais Science Hai’.
Students from Government College University, Forman Christian College, Punjab University, Superior College and Lahore College for Woman University participated in the debates.
Dr Samia Kalsoom in her welcome address said that in order to promote curricular and co-curricular activities in educational institutions, the CM had initiated competitions for essay writing, debates and speeches at district, division and provincial levels.
