ke sirf raat kati hai sahar nhi aayi

khushi ki rut bhi ksi shokh ki hansi ki tarha
gali say guzri magar maire ghar nhi aayi

azab shaakh ka tha aur phool gulcheeN ke
ye munsifee bhi chaman ko nazar nhi aayi

gira darakht say aur lay gayi urha ke hawa
phir us ke baad to gul ki khabar nhi aayi

wo lot aaye hen gheron ko azmaa ke saeed
magar wo taaza rukhi lot kar nhi aayi
