The 26th Annual Naat Contest was held at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi on Tuesday.
It was organised by the Crescent Youth Organisation in collaboration with the Education Committee of Arts Council of Pakistan, National Form for Environment & Health and Ansari Foundation.
The contest comprised two sections – one primary and other secondary. In primary section, Arbab Rahim of the CU Quiz University for Kids secured the first position, second by Hamna of the Best School, third by Hania of the Madrissa Bin Qab Trust and fourth by Hira of the Karachi Cadet School. Talking to Daily Times, Hafiz-un-Nisa, mother of Arbab Rahim, said that no one could imagine her happiness. She hailed the organisers for arranging the impressive event.
In secondary section, the first position was secured by Hafiz Muhammad Ansar Sameer of the Guardian Public School Nazimabad, second by Mohammad Uzair of the Muslim Public School, third by Sana Riaz of the Government Girls Secondary School Baldia and fourth by Yashfeen Ajmal of Farhana Government Girls School.
Talking to Daily Times, Farhana Haris, mother of Hafiz Mohammad Ansar said that she was very happy as her son got the first prize. She said that her son worked hard for it. The responsibilities of jury was performed by Azizuddin Khaki and Athar Ali .
President Ansari Foundation Rashid Hussain Ansari, Azizuddin Khaki, Athar Ali, Chairman Education Committee of Arts Council of Pakistan Majeed Abdani and Chairman Crescent Youth Organisation Naeem Quraishi distributed prizes among winners.
Special prizes of cellular phone sets were given away to first position holders. Majeed Abdali emphasised parents to educate their child.
