Assalam-o-Alaikum!

I don't know why people still use Windows XP ? Its pirated and we all know that pirated copies are not stable. Windows Vista is flop. Nothing but a piece of shit. Windows Vista Home requires minimum 512 MB of RAM while Windows Vista Pro requires minimum 1 GB of RAM.

Linux is the best OS coz you can do anything with it. It have all the daily and office applications. And the best thing is that its free and you have full control over it.

Dear all

Mr Ahmad is right
We all should leave MS XP or Vista
Linux flavour like Suse and Fedora Core etc are being used at international and at professional level
So we should work in lieux to compete with the world

Kamran

I Have also installed Ubuntu7.10 on My Laptop...
And Learning how to manage it...
I have Learned most about the system of Linux... Like it detects devices and make file as /dev/sbd .or s
I have also connected my pc to Internet using terminal with GPRS...
I recomend to Use any Derivative of Linux, Almost all are same, But Command for Terminal have some difference
eg: in Ubuntu we Use "Sudo apt-get install ---" to Install anyting and In Fedora Core 6 we Use "Yum install ---"

If You want to get CD's of UBUNTU use this link http://shipit.ubuntu.com

That's Good Madiha that You started Web Development...

Thanks for your these words ".if i were a computer master like ahmad mushtaq,BSIT07-01,BZU"

Any way I am correcting my above post it which I had posted ,"in Ubuntu we Use "Sudo apt-get install ---" to Install anyting and In Fedora Core 6 we Use "Yum install ---" "

So what is in real

Yum= Yellow Dog Updater Modifier (Why dog is Yellow ? hehehehe )
Sudo = Super User do

Sudo is just a command that will give you privilages of super user (root) ... Ubuntu is based on debian & Fedora is Based on RHEL...

apt-get is a package for installer on ubuntu...
yum is a package for installer on fedora

If you are familliar with yum you can install it also on ubuntu using this command

"sudo apt-get install yum" & then you may probably remove apt using your newly installed yum "yum remove apt" ...

Any way I am using Cent OS now a days which is based on RHEL it sounds good than all others... I am also using it on my VPS

Thanks wasif! Great tip!

You mean that we can use 'yum' instead of 'apt-get' in ubuntu too?

and thanks madiha for appreciating us. We all learn with the passage of time and I believe that Insha Allah with that spirit, which you've shown, you will learn faster than us. The support of BZUPAGES.com is with you. Good Luck!
