Smile PTV to launch Dard-e-Ashna telethon

Islamabad—Pakistan Television (PTV) will launch Dard-e-Ashna telethon from Monday to generate funds for victims of the recent floods.

Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani will participate in the programme on October 3 (Monday) and appeal to philanthropists, traders and the entire nation for donating in the Relief fund generously to mitigate sufferings of the flood victims.


Viewers will have an opportunity to talk to the Prime Minister through direct phone calls. During the live telethon, uniforms, precious items, paintings, bats of national heroes will be offered for auction. The amount gathered for the auction from the items will be deposited to the Prime Minister’s fund established for flood victims.
