khuley parhe rahe ankhon ke dil ke darwaze
chala gya tha par aane ko keh gya to tha

yehi khyal bhi is jan-kani mai kia kam hai
ke aise dasht mai ik pairh lag gya to tha

mai us say haal-e-dil-e-zar aur kia kehta
mila tha wo to mai chupke say ro dya to tha

ksi ka ban k gya hai to phir mila hi nhi
wo ho saka na mera warna baa-wafa to tha

wo chahe bat nu karta dua to leleta
wo gher ka ho, mera bhi kabi raha to tha

samaj mai kch nhi ata mai kese doob gya
nhi tha koi mera na-khuda, khuda to tha
