Ye chubhan akaily pan ki
Ye lagan udaas shabb sy,

Ma hawa sy larr raha hoon
Tujay kya btaoon kab sy,

Ye sehar ki sazishen theen,
K ye intiqaam-e-shabb tha,

Mujay zindagi ka sooraj
Na bacha saka ghazab sy,

Teray naam sy shafaa ho
Koi zakhm wo ataa kar,

Meray naama-bar Miley to
Usay kehna ye adabb sy,

Wo jawan ruton ki shaamein,
Kahan kho gai hein Sagar,

Ma to bujh k reh gaya hoon
Wo bicharr gaya ha jab sy...
