Read Govt bans employees’ media interaction

ISLAMABAD: Federal Government on Saturday imposed a restriction on government employees’ interaction with the media by issuing a notification to this effect, Geo News reported.

According to the notification, the government slapped a restriction on its employees to participate in a TV and radio programmes besides writing an article in newspapers. In case of failure to obey the orders, action will be taken against such an employee under Government Servant Conduct Rules 1964, the notification warned.

It further said that government has to face embarrassment due to the government servants’ interaction with the media.
