Admission Entry Test

Combined Entry Test for Admission in Engineering Institutions of Punjab for Undergraduate Admission is conducted every year. It is mandatory to pass an entry test for the admission in engineering institutions as it is prescribed by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). The syllabus of Entry Test will be based on the 4 Subjects Physics, Chemistry, Math and English of F.Sc. Pre-Engineering or equivalent. The Test shall be divided into 4 Sections. The pattern of test is different based on the criteria decided by the respective Universities & Colleges. The Entry Test will be valid for the same session only.

In view of the difficulties faced by the residents of flood affected areas the Chief Minister Punjab has desired that the entry test be postponed. It is therefore announced for all the concerned that entry test scheduled for 8th August 2010 is hereby postponed. The new date shall be announced later.

Eligibility

Maximum age 25 years
F.Sc. Pre Engineering or equivalent

Test Weight age

F.Sc. 70%
Entry Test 30%
Total number of questions: 100

Number of questions in each subject:
Physics: 30
Chemistry: 30
Mathematics: 30
English: 10 (usage and correction)
Total time: 80min


Grading

For each correct answer: 4 marks
For each wrong answer: -1 mark (negative marking)
Total entry test marks: 400
