Jab teri dhun main Jiya kertay thay:


Hum bhi chup chap phira kertay thay-


Ankhon main piiyas houa kerti thi:


Dil main toofan utha kertay thay-


Log aatay thay gazal sunany ko:


Hum teri baat kia kertay thay-


Sach samajhtay thay tere vaadon ko:


Raat din gher main raha kerty thay-


Wo bhi kia din thay, tujhe bhulla ker:


Hum tujhe yaad kiya kertay thay-


Kal tujhe dekh kar yaad aya!!!


Hum bhi khabi mohabbat kia kertay thay.
