Example

In the example below, the content inside the tfoot element is aligned two characters to the right from the "." character:

Definition and Usage

The charoff attribute sets the number of characters the content inside the tfoot element will be aligned from the character specified by the char attribute.

The charoff attribute can only be used if the char attribute is specified and the align attribute is set to "char".

Note: The charoff attribute is not supported by any of the major browsers.


Syntax

<tfoot charoff="value">

Attribute Values

Value Description
number Specifies the alignment.
Positive numbers specifies alignment to the right of the character.
Negative numbers specifies alignment to the left of the character.
