I don't have used vfone with ubuntu and even with winxp

But I had used Mobilink GPRS with ubuntu almost 1 year back ... using LG KE 770

I'd used this method to connect it http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=166617

Search through that forum , I hope that will work
