In standard: 802.15.4,
4 is work group and 15 is assigned by working group by organization
Use DSSS Modulation
Direct sequence spread spectrum It is WLAN technology.
ZC = Zigbee Coordinator for coordination
ZR = Zigbee Router
ZED = Zigbee End Devices
Task Groups:
Taskgroup1 for blue tooth Task group 4 for WPAN (ZIGBEE)

“20 kbps” bands Europe 86.3 MH
“250 kbps” global 2405 to 2480 MH

More channel is required if data rate increased

For example Europe number of channel used = 1
For global number of channel used are 16

Range of zigbee is 500 M, Zigzee is cheaper solution than blue tooth, It is low cost and low power consumption, long battery life.

Its drawback is:

It does not provide interpretability.
We can not connect zigbee connection with any other like with GSM, wimax.
