Default Presentation: Motional and Induce Emf; Self Induction By Group 6 ( part1)

Some contents from slides
Motional EMF
  • The emf induced by the motion of a conductor across a magnetic field is called motional emf
  • When a conductor is moved across a magnetic field an emf is induced between its ends.the emf of the moving conductor is similar to that of a battery

Electromagnetism induction:
  • The current produces in the conductor due to its motion in the magnetic field is called induced current
  • If we change the resistance of the conductor by adding different resistors in the loop and move it in the magnetic field with the same speed every time , we find that the product of the induced current I and resistance R of the loop remains constant such that
  • I x R=constant This constant is called induced emf
  • This phenomena of production of the induced current and induced emf is called electromagnetic induction
Self Induction
  • The phenomenon in which a changing current in a coil induces an emf in itself is called self induction

Presentation of the group 6 is divided into 3 parts on the bases of the Topic assigned to the group members
