Size: 7.8 KBSaif Ali Khan's son does a cameo in Tashan:
Saif Ali Khan is riding high. With the love of his latest girlfriend, Kareena Kapoor, the success of Race and with his upcoming release, Tashan, there is no looking back for him. But there is more that's bringing a smile on Saif's face.

Saif's son, Ibrahim, would soon be making his first big screen appearance. Now if that doesn't make 'papa Saif' happy then what will? "Ibrahim will be seen in a cameo role in Tashan. However, we cannot reveal his role and what he does. Surprises must be kept," says Monica Bhattacharya, the spokesperson of Yash Raj Films.

Though we don't know much about Ibrahim's role in the film, we have surely learnt that papa Saif is very happy with Ibrahim's performance in front of the camera.

George W. Bush in a Mission Istanbul:
Director Apoorva Lakhia's Mission Istanbul has been in the news since it was launched. The film starring Suniel Shetty, Vivek Oberoi and Zayed Khan in lead roles is an action packed film which is shot in the capital of Turkey.

Apart from the main cast which was shooting some pivotal scenes in Mumbai, yesterday, there was yet another familiar face on the sets. That face was none other than that of the American president, George W. Bush. For all of you who have almost fainted on hearing this, let us clarify that it was not Bush himself but a look-alike of the US President who was present on the sets.

The actor called Brent Mendenhall is someone who bears an uncanny resemblance to the US President and has even appeared on a number of T.V. shows, films, corporate and political gatherings in the West. Needless to say Brent will be playing the role of President Bush who comes on an official visit to India in the film.

Well, while many of our Hindi films have had look-alikes / duplicates of quite a few celebrities in the past, this one sure takes the cake.

Size: 6.5 KBSajid-Karan to host Zee Awards:
They say, love changes?everything?similarly success also changes?Everything. Host-cum-dost Sajid Khan's prowess as super-hit director which got noticed with his debut film, Heyy Babyy, has rubbed off big time on his confidence and timing as entertainment world's premiere host as was evident at the Star Screen Awards this year. He will be back to hosting another big event and that too with another superstar Compere, Karan Johar, at the Zee Cine Awards in London on April 26th 2008. ?Yes, we are hosting it together,? Sajid confirmed to Bollywood Hungama.

This is for the first time that Sajid and Karan will be hosting a show together. So, have you planned something unique and different to surprise and entertain the audience? ?I can't talk about it right now. But yes, Karan hasn't hosted a show with a male host before and nor have I. I respect and admire Karan.?

Sajid has another ace up his sleeve as he is all set to host a chat show on a new TV Channel (name yet to be disclosed). ?The show is called Sajid's Superstar.? We've heard it is somewhat similar to Karan Johar's Koffee with Karan. ?It is absolutely different. It has many fun oriented rounds. It's in Hindi and the duration of the show is 1 hour.?

Alright, let's talk about Sajid, the filmmaker. Well, after the humungous success of Heyy Babyy, Khan will get busy with Houseful, a romantic comedy by the end of the year. The cast already includes Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Jiah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh. So, Sajid, what is it about Houseful that you haven't shared with a journalist so far? ?I shall be finalizing the music director of the film soon. I am hunting for a heroine and a big actor.? Any idea who the big actor may be? ?If I tell you the hunt will be over,? Sajid said with a chuckle.

Size: 6.7 KB"Fashion is 70% complete" - Madhur Bhandarkar:
Madhur Bhandarkar has wrapped up a major portion of Fashion in Mumbai and is now traveling to Paris for a recce. Few hours before boarding his flight for Paris, Bhandarkar informs, "I am now off to Paris for a recce to check whether everything is in order and in a sane state, so that it is conducive to the film's shoot. It's a short 3-4 days trip since I basically need to ensure the facilities and logistics and get some basic arrangements in place."

Why Paris? "Fashion and Paris go together, anyone and everyone with the faintest clue about the fashion world understands this. For a film like Fashion which is the first ever of its kind in Bollywood, it is imperative that Paris forms a part of the film's narrative. The place is an epitome of fashion; it is obvious they come together in the same breath," says Bhandarkar whose films have otherwise being rooted in India, case in point being Traffic Signal, Corporate, Page 3, Chandni BarSatta.

Since Priyanka Chopra is currently in Miami shooting for Dostana, how is work on Fashion proceeding?

"We have quite a few scenes with Mugdha (Godse) which required to be shot so we have utilized last few days for that", says Bhandarkar whose Fashion is expected to arrive in the last quarter of 2008, "Once Priyanka is back from Miami in the month of May, we would resume shooting for the concluding portions."

"In any case, major part of the film has been wrapped up and it is already 70% complete. Fashion has been moving at a good pace and for a film of this scale, I am happy with the way shooting has been progressing so far", signs off Madhur.

Size: 6.6 KBPooja Bhatt signs Pakistani actress Mona Laizza opposite Himesh:
T-Series?s Kajraare directed by Pooja Bhatt had been announced a while back with none other than Himesh Reshammiya playing the lead. However the hunt for the female lead was still on.

Now it seems T-series and Pooja have finally found their leading lady. The lady in question is Mona Laizza a popular Pakistani T.V. actress.

?We were looking for a girl who had the innocence in her and was from Pakistan. It was not easy, Kajraare being an Indo-Pak love story. We checked out more than 70 girls and finally zeroed in on Mona Laizza. The look of the film is different and we are still in the process of finalizing the look of the characters?, says T-Series creative director Divya Khosla Kumar.

Pooja Bhatt adds, ?Javed Sheikh was very instrumental in helping us get Mona. She fits the role opposite Himesh perfectly and we are hoping Javedji will also do an interesting role in the film?

The Bhatts had earlier worked with another Pakistani actress Meera in their film Nazar which bombed at the box-office. Hope Mona Laizza proves lucky for Pooja and the team of Kajraare this time around. The film a love story starring Himesh as a lawyer would be shot in Lahore, Morocco and Europe.

Size: 8.4 KB"Preity Zinta is my favourite actress": Brett Lee:
?Preity Zinta is my favourite actress and I' not saying that because she is the co-owner of Kings XI Punjab,? said express bowler Brett Lee at the press conference of his acting debut Victory in Jaipur yesterday. Lee alongwith Mike Hussey, Brad Hogg, Simon Katich, RP Singh, Praveen Kumar, Dinesh Karthick and Yousuf Pathan played a competitive game under the luminous floodlights in the dexterously maintained Sawai Maan Singh Stadium. While huge sixes were being lofted all over the park, director Ajit Pal canned one shot after another in the beauteous 35 MM camera which was always at the risk of being smashed by one of Dinesh Karthick's massive strikes.

Victory stars the sensation of 2008 Harman Baweja in the role of a cricketer from a humble background rubbing shoulders with the best in the business. ?This is for the first time that you'll see real players will be playing in a film. Except for Harman, all professional players are playing,? said producer Manmohan Shetty. Incidentally, this happens to be his first production post the winding-up at Adlabs. Shetty hasn't coined a name for his production house (set up along with industrious daughter Pooja Shetty) yet and as for the budget of Victory, this is what he has to say, ?It's a big budget looking film but we still don't know the exact amount as it is yet to be complete.?

Alright let's bring you an 'ankhon dekha haal' of what really happened at this unusual on location of a Hindi film. No grease paint adorned heroine simpering-n-careening away to glory, no humungous delays and no starry tantrums from the film crew. The film's hero Harman Baweja remained ensconced in the player's dressing room politely distancing himself from media speculation as his first big release Love Story 2050 is yet to be released. Without an iota of doubt Brett Lee was the hero of the day. Right from having fun with his mates at Sheraton Rajputana swimming pool (Yup watching them jump in water fully clothed was a sight) to being mobbed by the frantic crowd at the stadium who jumped barricades (A couple of demure looking policeman were more keen on protecting the newly baked pitch especially for the impending IPL fiesta than shooing away the irate public).

Size: 7.0 KBLee was the cynosure of all eyes and like a star he mingled with fans, burnt sky hugging fire crackers and patiently answered queries from fan-like journos keen on knowing if he would build up a six pack or eight pack to maybe giving the Khans and the Roshans a run for their money. ?I am a cricketer he said,? with a shining-sword smile and the impact was hard to miss. ?Playing for Australia is my first love but there are so many other things that I like doing like fashion, music (he carried his guitar even to the stadium), and watching movies and now being a part of it. When it releases in Australia there will be lots pf laughs, lots of fun.? So, why did he agree to do Victory where he plays himself? ?It is a fantastic script and hats off to people who've written it.?

When quizzed about the recent altercations between Indian and Australian players, Lee diplomatically said, ?The relations between Indian and Australian cricketers are brilliant. There have been a few instances but these kind of things happen.? Actor Dalip Tahil who plays the coach of Indian cricket team in the field light-heartedly jumped in at this moment, ?We are trying to get Brett busy with Bollywood assignments so that he doesn't find time for cricket.?

Everyone wanted a piece of Brett Lee (though there were some who were overwhelmed with the presence of Mr Highest Average Mike Hussey too). So Brett, would you sing for us? ?Haan mein tumhara hoon aur tuhara ho rahoonga,? he mouthed his lines from the Asha Bhonsle. And what's the best Hindi film you've ever watched? ?Any film starring Preity Zinta,? he said with a chuckle. Talk about keeping your team honour in good humour. Or does it have to do something with the rumours of their alleged fling a few years ago. Hmmmm?we aren't jumping to conclusions. Are we! Never mind?

Victory also stars Amrita Rao and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles. The music of the film has been given by Anu Malik and it is slated to release in October 2008. Don't forget to check out the exclusive On Location video of Victory
