![]() The alleged wind-breaking occurred in Lakeland, Florida (surprise, surprise), when the bus driver accused the 15-year-old of passing gas in order to make the other children laugh. The driver alleged that the smell was so bad it became hard to breathe. The student was suspended from the bus the next day. ![]() The teenager denies that he was responsible for the flatulent brouhaha, insisting that it was somebody else, in what might be termed the 'he who smelt it, dealt it' defence. ![]() According to officials at the school, they don't actually have a rule against breaking wind, but creating a disturbance on the bus is prohibited. ![]() This is not the first, nor even the most severe, disciplinary action taken against a farting student in Florida. In November 2008, a 12-year-old boy was actually arrested by police after reportedly passing gas in the classroom. |
