Jinhen bojh lagti he zindgi

Sar-e-bazm yon unhen dekh kr Tere muskrane ka shukria

Teri yad kis kis bhais me
Mere shair-o-nagma me dhal gyi

Ye kamaal tha teri yad ka
Mujhy yad aane ka shukria

Jo zamane bhar ka asool tha
Wo asool tu ne nibha dia

Yehi rasm thehri he mout'br
Mujhy bhol janey ka shukriya.
