Bohat muddat se aisa hai
K tum khamosh rehtay ho
Koi gehra hai ghum shayad
Jisay chup chap sehtay ho.
Yunhi chaltay huay tanha
Koi ghamgeen sa naghma
Tum aksar gungunatay ho
Doran-e-guftgu yunhi
Milen nazro se jab nazren
To baaten bhool jatay ho
Kisi gum sum si halat main
Ya phir barish k mausam main
Faqat itna hi kehtay ho
Udasi be-waja si hai .
Bohat bojhal tabiyat hai .
Bhala such kion nahi kehtay .
