ajab na tha main begana-e-alam ho ker
tery jamaal ki ranaiyon main kho rehta
tera gadaz badan teri neem baz ankhen
inhiy haseen fasanon main mehev ho rehta


k zindi teri zulfon ki nerm chaon main
guzerny pati to shadaab ho b sakti thi
ye tergi jo meri zeest ka muqader hai
teri nezer ki shuaon main kho b sakti thi


pukarten jab mjhy talkhiya zamany ki
tery labon se khilawat k ghunt pi leta
khyaat cheekhti phirti berhana ser or main
ghaneri zulfon k saye main jhup k gee leta


mager ye ho na saka or ab ye aalam hai
k tu nahi tera gum teri justajo b nahi
guzer rahi hai zindgi aesy k
usy kisi k sahary ki arzoo b nahi


na koi jada-e-manzil na roshni ka suragh
bhatak rahi zindgi khallaon main meri
inhiy khalaon main kho ker reh jaon ga
main janta hun meri hum nafs mager unhi


kabhi kabhi mery dil main khyal aata hai....
