GUJRANWALA ... A sessions judge following a news item on a TV channel visited the district jail and freed a Class 8 student, Arsalan, 12, on a bail on his personal bail bond here on Sunday.
The boy was booked by Model Town Police on charge of catching a stray kite on a road. Earlier, a magistrate had refused to grant him bail despite a plea that the boy was to appear in annual examination on Monday (today). The judge reportedly observed that kite flying not kite catching was a crime. The judge summoned the magistrate who refused to grant the boy bail and Model Town SHO who challaned the boy for Monday.
