Mai.n bhi khaaif nahi takhta-e-daar se
mai.n bhi Mansoor hoo.n keh do aghyaar se
kyu.n daratey ho zindaa.n ki deewar se
zulm ki baat ko, jehal ki raat ko
mai.n nahi manta, mai.n nahi manta

(khaaif = scared, takhta-e-daar= place of hanging, aghyaar = foreigners/strangers, zindaa.n = prison)

Tum nay looTa hai sadiyoo.n se humara sukoo.n
abb na hum par chaley ga tumhara fasoo.n
chara_gur mai.n tumhai.n kis tarah se kahoo.n
mai.n nahi manta, mai.n nahi manta

(fasoon = magic)

deep jis ka mehallat he mai.n he jaley
chund logoo.n ki khushiyoon ko lay kar chaley
voh jo saey mai.n her maslehat ke paley

(deep = lamp)

aisey dastoor ko, subha-e-bai_noor ko
mai.n nahi manta, mai.n nahi manta

(dastoor = constitution, subha-e-bai_noor = morning without light)
