On Thursday an investigation police team of GUJJARPURA arrested the main accused, a student of BSc Honours at University of Engineering and Technology, for emailing entrance test to more than 18 persons, a lab assistant and seven receivers of the test. For further inquiry, all the arrested accuseds have been handed over to the anti corruption team for further investigation.
Investigations police, headed by Incharge Investigation Mehdi Kazmi, on directions of SP Investigations Civil Lines Capt (r) Liaquat in a late night development on Wednesday arrested BSC honours student, Naseer. According to sources, Naseer was the main most accused person behind this big plan of paper leakage, and investigation team arrested him after seeing the video recording of CCTV cameras installed in the net cafe. Naseer has confessed that he memorized 18 questions from the paper and LAB assistant, Ashraf was also involved with him. Police has arrested Ashraf also.
Police investigators later collected the college identity cards of the students residing in the flats located in the plaza, adding that Shuja’s computer and email address were used by Naseer from the copy of his University Identity Card over which they raided the university hostel and arrested Naseer. Later, during the questioning, Naseer named seven other students who were also arrested by the investigation police from the plaza, the others seven are those, who received e mails from Naseer. Shujauddin Zaidi, the net café owner confessed that he sent emails from his address on the request of his customer, Naseer; in the meantime, according to the sources, it came to know that during interrogation, technical committee said that there was a gang involved in the dodge. It had also leaked out question-papers of the Federal Public Service Commission, the Punjab University and the King Edward Medical University and The Punjab Public Service Commission.
