This particular picture set takes you to a trail in northern Pakistan that is barely treaded upon. Beginning from a jeep track from Mastuj in the upper Chitral region, one can reach the lush green valleys of Lasht followed by Kishmanja from where one starts the track on foot.
After passing through Ishkerwaaz, Lashkargaaz and the beautiful village of Su’ur Sheer, the last stop before Karombar lake, one can finally see and experience the beauty of the lake on the third or fourth day, depending on the number of camp stops.
From there, you can either choose to follow the same track back through Broghil valley or move onwards to Gilgit through the Ishkoman valley. The path onwards from Karombar is comparatively more challenging and adventurous that involves traversing some glaciers including the Chitti Boi, following non-existent trails up on mountains and crossing an ice cold river and streams. At the same time, it is also more rewarding since one gets to see the beauty of Swinge, Sokhtarabad and other camping stops.
Finally on the fifth day of leaving Karombar, one reaches Bhorath from where one can take a jeep to Gahkuch or Gilgit.
