ik taza hikayat hai sun lo to anayat hai


ik shakhs ko dekha tha taron ki tarah ham ne
ik shakhs ko chaha tha apno ki tarah ham ne

ik shakhs ko samjha tha pholon ki tarah ham ne
wo shakhs qayamat tha kia karen us ki batain
din us kaliay paida aor us ki hi theen raten
kam milna kisi se tha ham se then mulakaten

rang us ka shahabi tha zulfon men then mehkaren
ankhen then k jadu tha palken then k talvaren
dushmun bhi agar dekhen sao jan se dil haren
kuch tum se wo milta tha baton men,shabahat men
han tum hi sa lagta tha shokhi men,shirarat men
lagta bhi tum hi sa tha dastur-e-mubahat men

wo shakhs hamen aik din apno ki tarah bhoola
taron ki tarah dooba pholon ki tarah toota
phir hath na aya wo ham ne to bohat dhonda
tum kis liya chonke ho kab zikar tumhara hai
kab tum se taqaza hai kab tum se shikayat hai

ik taza hikayat hai sun lo to anayat hai
