Default Re: Intel core 2 duo overclock 5.5 GHZ (turkish team)

No, There are actually 4 cores ... because overclocking main Cores kaisay increase hoon gay? iss main tu just FSB , Clock Multiplier aur Core ki Bus speed use kartay hain ...

Core Speed = Bus Speed (Internal Clock of CPU) x Clock Multiplier

and

Front Side Bus (FSB) is the multiple of Bus Speed ... I think it's usually 4x of Internal Clock...

What they do in Overclocking .. just increase the FSB of MotherBoard ... in result CPU automatically increases the bus speed ... and Core speed also get increased ...

There are specialized motherboards which supports Overclock ... usually Boards of ASUS ... they have option in their bios to change FSB ...
