FG Commerce College gets principal, finally

After waiting for three months’, the Federal Government Post Graduate Commerce College finally got a principal on Thursday.
The seat of the principal fell vacant on 4 August and since then around 3,500 students had been suffering because teachers would not take their taking classes on time.
A senior official in the Capital Administration and Development Division (CAAD) told Pakistan Today that FG College H/8 4 Professor Raja Hafeez was transferred to FG Post Graduate Commerce College as its new principal while Professor Kazim Hussain serving as Principal FG College F/10 was mad the principal of FG Post Graduate College H/8-4.
The official said that Professor Mumtaz, who had served as Director Colleges in the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), was transferred to Government College F/10 to replace Professor Kazim Hussain.
The official said that Professor Mahmood Akhtar, who was teaching at the FG Post Graduate College H/8-4, was appointed as new Director Colleges.
In another development, FG College G/10-4 Principal Rehana Shabir was transferred to FG College F/7-while Ms Durdana, the principal of the F/7-2 College, was posted at G/10 College.
It is relevant to note here that due to negligence of the CAAD’s Joint Secretary Professor Rafiq Tahir, the seat of Commerce College’s principal had been vacant since 4 August when Professor Zafarullah Khan Buttar retired as the principal.
The FDE had repeatedly taken up the issue with the CAAD joint secretary but he did not pay attention.
According to sources, the main reason behind the delay in appointing the principal of the Commerce College was the collection of huge funds which had been generated through self-finance admission in the evening classes at the college.
