Mirchon ka Salan http://xtremefast.com/wp-content/upl...n-ka-salan.jpg Ingredients ½ kg green chilies 3 onions 1 cup tamarind juice 1 small piece of coconut 1 tsp onion seeds 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp white cumin 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp white sesame seeds 2 tbsp coriander seeds 2 tbsp poppy seeds Salt to taste Ingredients for baghar 1 cup tamarind juice 1 cup oil 4 whole red chilies Few curry leaves Few fenugreek seeds 1 tsp white cumin Method Add 1 tsp white cumin, 2 tbsp white sesame seeds, 2 tbsp coriander seeds, 2 tbsp poppy seeds and 1small grated coconut piece to a tawa or a pan and stir together. Then take off the flame and crush them together. Wash ½ kg green chilies and put on a sieve to drain away excess water. Sprinkle some salt over green chilies. In a cooking pot, heat some oil and stir fry green chilies. Then take out green chilies and add 4 whole red chilies, few fenugreek seeds, few curry leaves and 1 tsp white cumin and stir together. Also fry 3 sliced onions until they are transparent. Then add 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, sautéed spices and green chilies, salt to taste, curry leaves, 1 cup tamarind juice and 1 tsp onion seeds. Allow simmering on low flame until oil forms a separate layer. Mirchon ka Salan is ready to serve. |
