Mujhse itna woh pyar kerta tha,
Woh banata tha meri tasveerain,
Unse bataen hazaar karta tha,
Mera dukh bhi khuloos-e-niyat se,
Apna dukh he shumar karta tha,
Such samajhta tha jhoot bhi mera,
Yun mera aitbaar karta tha,
Pehle rakhta tha phool rastay main,
Phir mera intazaar karta tha,
Aaj pehlu main woh nahi Faraz!
Jo mujh pe jaan nisaar karta tha.
