then i think your criteria may be different, coz this formula is simply a mathematical solution
this will give you
at 50% 2GPA , 55% 2.25, 60% 2.5GPA , 65% 2.75, 70% 3.00......and so on with an...

At 50% = 2GPA & 90%=4GPA (70%=3GPA)

Formula will be:
GPA = 2 + (%marks -50)/20

........................................

At 50%=2GPA & 85%=4GPA
