Default 3rd Pakistan Youth Congress held in Lahore

The youth of Pakistan need attention in order to foster leadership qualities in them and they can beat the tendency towards drug use only if they are united in their path towards a noble cause, speakers at the concluding session of Third Pakistan Youth Congress said on Tuesday at a local hotel. The Drug Free Pakistan Foundation (DFPF) in collaboration with Punjab University, International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) in Pakistan, the US Embassy in Islamabad, the Colombo Plan Drug Advisory Programme (CPDAP) and Rescue 1122 organised the event.
300 youth from across the country participated in the congress in addition to 11 international participants from Afghanistan, Bhutan and Indonesia.
The Youth Parliament of Pakistan (YPP) also participated in the event. A cultural evening was organised on the second day, which was attended by renowned singer and politician Abrarul Haq. Closing ceremony of the congress was presided by Punjab Governor Latif Khosa and Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran.
