The Chairman Anwar Ahmed Zia of Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK), issued show-cause notices to 67 educational institutions on Wednesday which recorded poor results in the Pre-Medical annual examinations, 2011.
The higher secondary schools (HSS) public and private colleges are warned to clear their positions in this respect. Otherwise the Board would cancel or suspend their affiliation with the BIEK. Total 21 education institutions, including eight in the public and 13 in the private sector which shows zero percent result. On the other side, 17 educational centers had a result less than 10 per cent and 15 public colleges and two private institutions also fell in this category. Approximately 29 HSS gives less than 20 per cent result this year and 24 government and five private colleges were also included in this list, he added.
All the concerned directors of these institutions and colleges are informed regarding show-cause notice. Board of governors meeting was also called in this regard to cancel the affiliation of those institutes who showed zero percent results.
