اب جاں پہ بنی بھی ہے تو درماں نہیں کرتے

ہر یاد کو یوں زخم بناتے نہیں دل کا
ہر تیر کو پیوستِ رگِ جاں نہیں کرتے

Yah soch kar hum nay bhi roka nahi usay

Woh shakhs kabhi chand sitaron say yah poochay
Hay kon si woh raat jab socha nahi usay

Alfaz teer ban kay utartay rahay dil main
suntay rahay din raat hi toka nahi usay

Sagar yah muhabbat nahi Asool-e-wafa hay
Ham jan to dangay magar dhoka nahi usay
